All Tiled and Plastered is a new business, with no previous web presence, looking to find a customer base among the DIY adverse of East Sussex. The web offered an attractively priced alternative to print advertising, but they assumed work would come from word of mouth.
Research turned up a wealth of competition already online. Search for either tiling or plastering, however, and the top results are online directories not company web sites. The new web site would need to stand out in an environment where consumers can easily compare rival offers.
Brief: High Impact, Low Cost
All Tiled and Plastered wanted to carry over their corporate logo from van and billboards on to the site. Reconciling a logo designed for maximum visual impact from the side of a van with a layout designed to fit on a computer monitor was going to be a challenge.

They wanted a layout which would highlight the services the firm offers. Since the aim was to bring in work, contact options (telephone and email) had to be centre stage. Finally they wanted to prominently display pictures of the work they carry out, tiling in particular.
